Job Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head Office Learning and Development Team, part of the Global People Team, the Sales Training Executive (STE) will focus on key areas of the colleague life-cycle. This will include the onboarding process, including induction Training and post Induction Training support in the form of coaching and development and general people wellbeing.

We’ll give you all of the training, support and tools that you need to do your job.

Induction Training

The STE will manage the training programme and participate in the delivery of outstanding induction material for our new family members.

Coaching & Development

The STE will support with ongoing sales performance coaching and support for our established colleagues to ensure their continued growth and development.

General People Support

The STE will represent our HQ’s Global People Team and will be the office point of contact for any people related enquiries. They will lead on ensuring the environment is a safe and healthy place to be, driving a positive people culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Inclusion & Diversity in everything that you do.
  • Reports any concerns for culture development, recruitment quality issue, leadership development and general working environment accordingly. Our people are our biggest asset and ensuring their wellbeing is our priority.
  • The candidate is responsible for supporting new starters through their training and provide continued support after they graduate. They will mentor, support and guide new starters until probation is passed through daily support and regular feedback of calls and quality of service and then provide on going coaching and support to more experience members of the team.
  • The STE will deliver industry knowledge through various learning methods.
  • The STE will create and deliver regular workshops based on business needs, knowledge and skill gaps and hold follow-up sessions to monitor improvement and track progress. They will work as part of a wider People team to support the growth and success of the Sales operations, liaising with Managers, Operations Directors and the Senior L&D team to formulate action plans to improve revenue.
  • Support with adhoc HR and ER issues.
  • Ensure new family member experience is world class.
  • Some of the KPIs associated with this role will include the following:
  • Improving sales and revenue performance
  • Increasing colleague engagement
  • Reducing absence and attrition

Experience

Essential:

  • Be a people’s person, able to deliver feedback constructively and have a good reputation for delivering positive results.
  • Must have a passion for coaching and developing others.
  • Proven history of increasing and developing performance in others
  • Experience delivering induction material to groups of 10 – 20 people
  • Ability to identify skill gaps through data analysis and provide improvement plans to increase performance.
  • Experienced delivering training on a one-to-one basis.
  • Knowledge and experience of learning styles and methods.
  • Proven track record of delivering results via training and development.

Desirable:

  • Passion for sales
  • Training and/or Coaching qualification.
  • CIPD Qualification and/or Membership
  • A knowledge of the energy industry is preferred.
  • Experience working within a telesales learning and development team.
