Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working alongside our Leadership team within the business and different sites the H,S & F Manager will coach and influence the safe behaviours of our People
  • This person will be responsible for promoting a positive health and safety culture within the business
  • We are looking for someone with hands on experience, team player, leadership skills, able to build strong relationships internally and externally, positive attitude with flexibility and able to embrace change.
  • Act as the group Health, Safety and Facilities Manager – be the company’s subject matter expert on all things health and safety
  • Creation and continuous development of a health and safety policy for the group
  • Ensure we are operating a safe working environment for all people – current objectives are to ensure we remain operating a COVID SECURE environment for all of our sites
  • Ensure we have resource and procedures for First Aid, Fire Safety, DSE assessments and general wellbeing
  • Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced. Continuous improvement
  • Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that identify improvement
  • Conducting Audits
  • Record incidents and accidents and produce statistics for managers
  • Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer’s industry
  • Managing the company car scheme/fleet
  • Ensuring all equipment is installed correctly
  • Communicate with the enforcement companies (HSE, Fire, EA)
  • Manage Budgets and suppliers
  • Project manage, supervise and coordinate any H,S&F initiatives and activities
  • Overseeing any building moves, refurbishments and building projects
  • Direct, coordinate and plan essential services such as reception, security, maintenance, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and recycling
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and deal with the consequences
  • Be point of contact for Landlords for any building issues and ensure remedial action is taken for any issues (including basic facilities such as heating and water are well maintained)
  • Monitor the leases on our Global Offices and assist with renewals and extensions

  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to interpret statutory guidance in a pragmatic manner
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Project Management Experience
  • Experience in dealing with office leases
