The opportunity

You’ll be responsible for identifying and closing your own business opportunities. You’ll connect with Industrial and Commercial businesses by making outbound B2B calls and field visits to build, develop and maintain relationships with clients, prospects and suppliers across the UK, Europe and USA. You will also be supported by a team of Lead Generators in order to develop business.

What is the job about?

You will close solutions for businesses after making initial contact and delivering proposals – fully supported by the product services teams. You will be the business’ key point of contact and will develop and maintain relationships across your given region. You will assist clients with their energy management needs, offering bespoke solutions to save customers money, time and reduce their carbon footprint, through flexible purchasing, energy monitoring and energy services.

What exactly will you do?

  • Sell Flexible Purchasing contracts
  • Present unique solutions which save cost, consumption and carbon emissions
  • Cross-sell across multiple energy management products/models
  • Understand a potential client’s energy requirements through thorough questioning
  • Meet essential sales targets involving KPIs and daily management support
  • Handle objections using up-to-date market/product information
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with current and future customers
  • Achieve monthly sales, revenue targets and KPIs
  • Adhere to sales compliance rules – all sales generated in line with our quality standards
  • Complete customer details and sales information to required standard on CRM system
  • Working closely with Team Manager to maximise all opportunities
  • Attend ongoing training and coaching sessions
  • Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales journey
  • Ensure compliance with all company operating policies and procedures

What we’re looking for

  • Established background in the energy sales space is essential
  • Energy industry background – thorough understanding of corporate energy terminology and their impacts e.g., (Pass Through Contract, Deemed Rates, Flexible Purchasing, Energy Management, Tenders)
  • Fully competent with Microsoft Office, CRM and Contact Software
  • Understand business market and the intricacies of various industries and sectors
  • Full UK Driving License
