Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Predominantly UK based Energy manager working with clients, but also responsible for aspects of product development for our ClearVUE energy management system involving liaison and guidance between Energy managers and development team and developers in our Malta office
  • Become familiar to expert level on in house ClearVUE energy management systems to undertake pro-active energy management across all clients
  • Analyse data to identify potential energy saving opportunities
  • Undertake site visits to liaise with clients around energy savings
  • Familiar with agile workflow techniques to:
    • create achievable goals and increase understanding of timescales
    • manage client expectations
    • create a collaborative environment, promoting teamwork
    • implement a robust work structure including analysis, design, implementation, testing, integration, and deployment.
  • To provide vital insight into specific user experience based on extensive experience acting as both an in-house and virtual energy manager
  • Ensure a structured development strategy is undertaken alongside an efficient delivery of the product.
  • Co-ordinate project development with our in-house tech team and undertaking vital user acceptance testing ensuring new features work as intended
  • Undertake detailed energy audits to BS16247
  • Be fully responsible for energy services for a set of clients – act as their energy specialist.
  • Able to demonstrate ClearVUE to potential clients demonstrating benefits drawn from the data and personal knowledge, either on-site or online demos
  • Undertake site surveys in preparation for the installation of ClearVUE, liaising with the client to identify best solutions
  • Provide compliance and legislation services as required, such as SECR and ESOS
  • Use personal and professional credibility to ensure clients identify you as their trusted energy services provider.
  • Utilise experience working in the energy & sustainability sector to drive relevant product requirements
  • Involved with the future development of all in-house hardware and software IoT Energy Management solutions
  • Ensure they comply with all company operating policies and procedures

Personal Attributes

  • Solid experience in industrial and commercial energy and carbon management services
  • Comprehensive technical and engineering knowledge relating to all aspects of energy efficiency
  • Knowledge of ‘smart’ use of energy including demand side management and load shedding
  • Comfortable in all environments, from heavy industrial through to commercial
  • Experience as an in-house Energy Manager and as a consultancy based Energy manager
  • Knowledge of Building Management Systems
  • Experience in running projects with developers ensuring sufficient testing of new features are satisfactory from a customer’s perspective.
  • Experience of providing energy efficiency related training to staff, from shop floor to board level
  • A solid understanding of IoT and ‘Big Data’ solutions
  • Experience of different types of energy management systems and smart metering solutions, from installation through to regular use.

Desirable Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience
  • Strong experience in industrial energy management
  • Strong experience in corporate sustainability strategy
  • Strong experience with energy management systems
  • Experience project managing large technology products
  • Experience with client-facing and sales techniques
