Northern Gas and Power (a subsidiary of Global Procurement Group) is a global energy procurement consultant and is the largest energy consultancy in Europe. We guide businesses of all sizes ranging from SMEs to global organisations in purchasing their energy contracts.

We set up comprehensive strategies for organisations to procure their energy contracts; negotiate contracts with energy suppliers; introduce and operate risk management frameworks; collect, check, and analyse invoices; and calculate organisations’ GHG emissions and carbon footprints.

Our consultancy is supported by our unique ClearVUE platform that brings together and visualises information from a global energy portfolio down to the last detail – helping our clients work towards their net zero goals and ensuring compliance with climate-related legislation.

The opportunity

This role is brand new to NGP! We are looking for an Employer Brand Manager to join our team. You’ll play a critical part of our talent strategy. You’ll partner with leaders and wider stakeholders in the People team, Marketing, Sales and other parts of the business to understand ambitions, business challenges, and talent demands. You’ll help to resolve how best we brand and market defining career opportunities at NGP, influencing, and converting talent audiences.

This is a hands-on role reporting to the Head of Global Recruitment, working on key activities and campaigns to support talent acquisition.

What exactly will you do?

  • Become the trusted advisor through understanding hiring/business demands
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal partners including the People Team, CSR to gather internal resources to help build external narrative and align our employer branding campaigns and activities to key communications initiatives and hiring needs across the business
  • Support the implementation of NGP’s Employer Brand in local areas and ensure our brand toolkits can be used effectively at local level
  • Lead partnership with Marketing for all initiatives
  • Build the EVP – narrative and messaging pillars. Use this to optimise channel strategy and plan monthly content calendars which amplify our compelling story
  • Drive exceptional execution and exciting content ideas to enhance engagement across channels and brand equity
  • Understand and contextualise cultural, social, and industry trends and audience behaviour to inform strategy and creative for the employee and candidate market

What we’re looking for

  • At least 3+ years’ experience of a strategic or planning role within marketing. Experience of employer branding, recruitment, internal communications or employee communications is a bonus but not a requirement
  • Experience creating breakthrough campaigns that evolve the brand to reach their target audience
  • Experience building and evolving brand strategies
  • Experience translating insights, ideas, and data into value adding plans
  • Development of inspiring creative briefs to bring insights to life and spark creativity
  • Cross-functional, internal team collaborator who can turn the complex into clear briefs.
  • Ability to work across multiple concurrent projects at once
