The opportunity

We are looking for a Data Scientist who is motivated to combine different data sets and extract meaningful insights to enhance our application platforms.

What is the job about?

To mine, interpret, and clean our data, we will rely on you to ask questions, connect the dots, and uncover opportunities that lie hidden within to realize the data’s full potential.

What exactly will you do?

  • The candidate will have the right mathematical and statistical expertise, but also a natural curiosity and creative mind
  • Predict data patterns and make recommendations.
  • Research and devise innovative statistical models for data analysis.
  • Enable smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful insights.
  • Analyse and interpret data from diverse data sets for trends and patterns.
  • Implement analytical models by collaborating with software developers and engineers.
  • Mentor junior data scientists to grow the data science team.
  • Communicate solutions to stakeholders and implement improvements as needed.

What we’re looking for

  • A Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Artificial Intelligence.
  • Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
  • Experience working with and dealing with data architectures and data mining.
  • Proud about data accuracy and produce high quality output.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques including regression, distribution, statistical tests among others.
  • Experience using R, Python, SQL and other languages to extract and manipulate data from different types of data sources.
  • Experience analysing data from 3rd parties include Google Analytics and other campaign management tools.
  • Ability to clearly articulate technical issues to laymen and to translate their feedback.
  • Team-player, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • An inclination to contribute to the creative process.
  • Independent with a sense of ownership in work contribution.
  • A ‘can do’ and problem-solving attitude.
