The opportunity

We are looking for a Data Engineer who is motivated to combine different data sets to extract meaningful insights and enhance our application platforms.

What is the job about?

The candidate will have the right development expertise and natural curiosity for data. As you subscribe to, interpret, design, and store data, we will rely on you to ask questions, connect the dots, and uncover opportunities that lie hidden within to realize the data’s full potential.

What exactly will you do?

  • Design, build, and maintain company-wide data platforms consisting of stand-alone databases, data warehouse, and data lakes
  • Build data pipelines using streaming ETL processes
  • Build data structures that facilitate reporting and data modeling
  • Perform necessary data quality checks, transformations, and data augmentations
  • Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues
  • Collaborating with software developers and data scientists to deliver data requirements
  • Communicate solutions to stakeholders and implement improvements as needed

What we’re looking for

  • Experience working with data architectures, data pipelines, and ETL processes.
  • Experience using NodeJS, Python, SQL or other languages
  • Experience using MySQL, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse or other database systems
  • Experience using NiFi, StreamSets, Airflow or other etl engines
  • Knowledge of RabbitMQ, Kafka, Pulsar or other messaging systems
  • Knowledge of GCP, AWS, Azure or other public clouds would be considered an asset
  • Proud about data accuracy and produce high quality output.

  • Ability to clearly articulate technical issues to laymen and to translate their feedback.
