  • SALARY:  Up to £23,000 plus commissions
  • HOURS: Monday – Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
  • LOCATION: Baltic Place, Gateshead
  • HOLIDAYS: 23 days annual leave + bank holidays + December off (fully paid)
  • CONTRACT: Full-time, permanent


Job Duties & Responsibilities

This is a fantastic opportunity to open a career in Customer Services at Northern Gas and Power, part of Global Procurement Group (GPG).

The GPG portfolio consists of energy consultancies Northern Gas and PowerNGP Americas, NGP Energia and Energies France. There are also online energy price comparison sites and EnergieSupermarche.Fr, serving the UK and French SME markets respectively. GPG is also the parent company of Energy Management and technology brands, ClearVUE Systems and NGP Websmart.

In line with our future aspirations centred around our people, our products, and our growth, we are looking to develop our Services Department with a view to enhancing performance at Northern Gas and Power.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the face of NGP acting as a brand ambassador in all areas of your work.
  • Prioritise and process customer requests submitted by telephone or email.
  • You’ll demonstrate your strong communication skills by talking clearly and listening. You’ll have great attention to detail, completing thorough notes about your calls accurately and on time.
  • Investigate and resolve any customer complaints quickly and patiently.
  • Keep confidential records and financial information private and secure
  • Learn how to use various database systems and technology to deliver great customer care
  • Liaise with energy suppliers on behalf of our customers to ensure they receive the best possible service
  • Work as part of the NGP team to support colleagues, identify further business opportunities and drive positive company sales results
  • Communicate with customers as their contract start dates approach to ensure a smooth transition to meet their specific energy needs.
  • Ensure we can keep our customers engaged, customer retention.

  • Customer Service experience is essential.
  • Energy industry experience is desirable.
