We set up comprehensive strategies for organisations to procure their energy contracts, negotiate contracts with energy suppliers, introduce and operate risk management frameworks; collect, check and analyse invoices, and calculate their GHG emissions and carbon footprints.

Our consultancy is supported by our unique ClearVUE platform that brings together and visualises information from a global energy portfolio down to the last detail – helping our clients work towards their net zero goals and ensuring compliance with climate-related legislation.

The opportunity

As a Customer Account Manager you will be responsible for the management of the more technical side of the Service Department including Meter Installations, Siteworks, the placing of Meter Operator Agreements as well as managing all aspects of Water Procurement.

What is the job about?

The role is a complete general Customer Service function within the team speaking with customers, suppliers and numerous other stakeholders including third party partners to identify and implement improvements in all aspects of our support for clients.

What exactly will you do?

  • Identifying customers whose current MOPs agreements are expiring or expired and facilitate the provision of a new contract as per their legal responsibilities.
  • Providing advice and support to customers who require meter installations or upgrades including management of external partners who will facilitate this request.
  • Performing root cause investigation into metering and billing issues experienced by our customers including providing viable solutions.
  • Manage the administrative process for Water Procurement including presenting tenders to various suppliers and providers customers with quotes/contracts.
  • Analyse complex data such as Energy Bills and Half Hourly reports to identify patterns and trends
  • Evaluate information from multiple sources relating to complex metering issues to identify improvement opportunities
  • Proactively researches underlying trends in poor systems / process performance and identifies solutions to address faults

Able to prioritise multiple issues with conflicting requirements/priorities across business areas and stakeholders. Will require ability to determine priorities, influence and negotiate solutions with senior stakeholders.

What we’re looking for

  • Broad knowledge of Utilities processes, appropriate legislation, regulations, policy and procedures.
  • Excellent organisational, project management and planning skills
  • Astute, organisationally aware, with experience of working in a complex business environment.
  • Sound analytical skills, capable of clearly identifying and solving problems proactively
  • Articulate with effective communication, written, interpersonal and presentation skills to be able to present clearly to various audiences as required
  • Highly organised with a structured but pragmatic and, where needed, flexible approach in order to ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Ability to identify cost savings and minimise waste
  • Able to monitor progress against targets and providing updates as necessary to manage expectations
  • Organisational awareness with ability to operate with confidence and credibility across all functions of the organisation
