What is the job about?

An opportunity to join our Facilities Management Team and carry out cleaning duties between the hours of 1PM-8PM, with flexibility to suit the needs of the business.

You will support the business in the delivery of a clean, hygienic environment and support the Facilities department in the upkeep and good estate management of the infrastructure across a large, modern office space.

 

What exactly will you do?

  • Perform standard cleaning duties as set out in the cleaning specification ensuring a clean and hygienic environment is always delivered, including various surface tasks, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and spot-cleaning carpets of all office areas, kitchen and break out areas.
  • Ensure all fixtures and fittings are cleaned, hygienic and free of defect.
  • Reporting of infrastructure defects and to ensuring all building infrastructure is of good condition
  • Removal of waste streams in all areas and comply with waste policy and procedures
  • Support the facilities assistant and team in the correct use of stock and always prevent wastage.
  • Demonstrate company values and ensure correct use of all building systems is performance by all users, to act as champion against wastage.
  • Ensure compliance with all company operating policies and procedures.
  • ​You must comply with all policies & procedures.

What we’re looking for

Experience

Essential

  • Experience working within a cleaning or facilities team.
  • Understanding of control of chemicals hazardous to health.

Desirable

  • Manual Handling Awareness
  • Working at Height Awareness.
  • Customer Care Training.

Personal qualities, aptitudes, and skills

  • Consistency – great cleaner makes it their mission to be consistently brilliant week after week and month after month.
  • Attentiveness- Attention to detail is key.
  • Honesty- If anything were to happen it’s essential that you’re upfront and honest.
  • Timekeeping- To be able to clean a very large office in a mannerly time, ensuring nothing is missed.
